Default --- Questions about Handata and maps---

Ok, I have a NIB Hondata S200B that I bought with the base map for turbo GSR with 550cc injectors. Well plans changed and I am leaving my GSR stock ('01 with 30K) and boosting my '94 LS instead (less to lose). I also bought an OBD1 P72 socketed and chipped GSR ECU to use with the hondata.

So first question is can I just have my stock LS ecu socketed for the Hondata? Or will I need to swap in a different ECU?

And as far as the base map goes...if I find some one on here running a stock LS motor boosted with Hondata and 550s, is there a way for them to send me their map? Like so I could burn it and use it for a not so "rough around the edges" base map to fine tune after install?? TIA

you will need a socketed obd1 ecu such as the p28 or p72 to run hondata and a conversion harness..and yes i believe someone can burn you a basemap..

Ok, so what ECU does my '94 LS manual have? Its old so doesn't that mean its OBD1?

And I am wanting to know if/how I can run a copy of someones already tuned LS turbo map....not just the standard Hondata base map for an LS with 550s. Thanks for the quick responce.

Your '94 LS more than likely has a P75 and yes you can use the P75 with Hondata... just disable vtec in the rom editor...

Awesome, so I just need to pay someone to socket my LS ECU...good news. That means I can sell my P72 and recoupe some $$$.

I have no idea how to do that...I just have what comes with the S200...blue box, cables, CD, etc...boost being the only option. I guess I will have to have a tuner do that...???...

So is my only option sending it to a dealer to have a new base map burned? Or is it possible to get a copy of someones already tuned map?

If someone gives you a basemap, sure... Or have your tuner make one... I assumed you were doing this yourself since you mentioned burning a new rom yourself...

No sorry, I wasn't thinking about needing the ROM editor...

So I have to start with a base map and then get it tuned? I get get a copy of someones already tuned map? Can you copy a complete map???

Question.. i just bought a 94' LS integra with a rebuilt block with a B16 vtech head. Has Hondata s300 ecu but is still mapped to the original stock gsr. It is now boosted with a Garrett T3/T4 turbo, precision intercooler and piping, aem fuel rail, 550 injectors, manual boost controller, Eagle pistons and rods, Walboro fuel pump etc.. its running rich of course, and the idle is not solid.. i need a map for this car to get it rockin' Email me if u have anything for me at ianallston@comcast.net as soon as possible

you can run the P72 gsr ecu on the LS engine if its already setup for the hondata. you dont HAVE to run the p75 ecu, just disable vtec in the rom editor

Rafer you need to get it tuned, every setup is different, slapping someone elses tune on there probably wont be accurate
