OK i purchased hondata s200, and the basemap is setup for a p74. would there be a problem using a pr4 that came from the 92-93 ls/gs instead of the p74 from 94 ls/gs?

shouldn't be much difference, as long as you get it tuned properly.

 

all obd1 non-vtec ecu programs are interchangable (except for accord/preludes).

 

well i'm it's for my prelude, so does that mean i can't use the p28??

 

It will need to be tuned by a Dealer to run a Prelude or Accord engine properly.

 

well i bought it from hondasaver to use for my prelude
this is the spec sheet looks like for the bas map:

engine: h23a
ecu: p74
map: p74 2.3l 440 autotrim
boost:yes
map: stock
injector size: 440

blah blah blah

so your saying that my car pretty much won't run right with a p28? the hondata is already set up to run on a prelude.

 

all obd1 non-vtec programs will run in obd1 vtec ecu's, but nto vice-versa. So yes your p74 will run fine in a p28.
