Default Question for the turbo studs....

Im thinking of boosting..... i was considering buying parts and turbo accessories as i find good deals in the classifieds or locally. Typically does it cost more to buy a kit from greddy or someplace, or would it be somewhat reasonable to buy parts when i find them cheap? May be a tough question to answer but any advice would help. Also Im not ready to buy an entire $2500 kit, that is also why i was going to buy a little here and there and go for the custom turbo kit...... thanks in advance for any advice.

Junkyards are a good spot to find turbos....But you can part it out as well...cost can be dramaticlly less depends on what/where etc.

Here are a few spots to try...

http://www.turbochargers.com/
http://www.majesticturbo.com/

i personally wouldnt reccomend a junkyard turbo
you have no idea the condition its in
im gonna wind up spending about 2500-3000$ on my entire setup from manifold to gauges.
just do it piece by piece.

Piecing a kit together will save money, but will kill time. I took me a couple months to get everything together. I could have spent $600 dollars more and had it delivered to my door step. Good luck
