Default Question on LS or LS/V

My goal is to hit 400-450 whp on my built and boosted teg, but I am wondering if I should use a vtec head? What would be the main benifets of using one? I know the LS head flows like ****, but if I keep upping the boost I will get to where I need to be eventually correct? Is the only benifit of using the VTEC head making the power easier to gain? I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth the hassle. I'm kinda expletiveed up right now on this medicine I'm taking so if some of this isnt spelled right or not making sense, sorry. Anyhow thanks in advance, Ramsey.

Using a head that does not "flow like ****" will help you achieve your goals at a lower boost level. To achieve more power at a lower boost level not only is less strenuous on your entire setup, it will also produce more midrange power since the turbo will spool to its peak boost level at an earlier rpm. I would either convert to LS/VTEC or find a set of good cams for your LS.
