Problem boositng with Spoolin log mani
For some reason my tuner says he cant get the boost to go over 12 PSI. every time it gets right around there it drops. He says its something about the back pressure or something. Car made 320 which was less then when I had my previous cast mani on there. I know there are a lot of people make a lot more power with the same setup. Heres mine:
Precision SC34
Spoolin log mani
spoolin 3" downpipe
full 3" Apexi N1
LS/VTEC (GSR head)
ARP head studs
Edelbrock Intake Manifold
Precision 880's
Walboro fuel pump
Greddy Type RS BOV
Tial 38mm gate
Block guard
GM 3 bar map sensor
Hondata s300
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you leak tested your charge piping?
Is he saying that the back pressure is too high for the turbo to overcome and not boost any higher than 12 psi?

Re: Problem boositng with Spoolin log mani (xenocron)
Whats up Chris....I believe thats what he is saying, but he also said to get a ramhorn and it will solve my problem. I know that a lot of people are running the spoolin log getting over 400 with the same mods as me though. Dont feel like dropping another grand just to be able to boost more. I didnt think an SC34 would have a problem making over 12...on my last mani it make 14. I switched manis because i wanted to get to arouns 18psi, but ended up spending more money to make less power

That doesn't even make sense. I'd say your boost issue is something else (boost leak or pre-turbo exhaust leak) and your other issue is the tuner. Get a new one.
However, is there any reason you went with a log on a B-series? Seems like a waste of a solid setup.

unplug the wastegate vac so it doesnt seen boost. watch boost gauge to make sure you dont over boost but check to see if it "will" boost more then what he is saying.
My bet is, the manifold is fine and the tuner might be broken and need to be changed. lol
Check for exhaust or boost leaks. if boost is an issue still

are you running a dumptube on the wastegate? without a dumptube it can cause excess exhaust in the engine bay essentially making it where no useable oxygen is pulled into the motor

I wasnt looking for extreme hp...I was just looking to get to 400 or so and Ive read about people using a log and making that kind of power and more.

Try an manual one in its place to see if it fixes the issues

Acquire a MBC from a friend/eBay/where ever and see if running a simple MBC fixes the problem. If it does, then the EBC is the issue.

Someone told you already. Disconnect the boost source from the wastegate and CAREFULLY roll on in 3rd gear and see if you can get more boost. If it still doesn't boost enough, you have a leak issue.

You can only run approx twice with a MANUAL boost controller...with a proper EBC you can run up to 4 times the spring, give or take.

I don't know what spring is in there to be honest. I know the tuner changed it once it got there though. I dont think he would oversee the spring as the reason why it wont go higher...plus it drops when it gets to 12...it wont hold there or go higher

do a boost leak test. with the car off, hook up an air compressor to the compressor side of the turbo and put like 20psi through the system. if there are any leaks, all the excess air will blow out. its easy to hear and pinpoint that way
