Question on hooking up the boost gauge.
Sup Honda-tech. I recently installed my boost gauge which reads 30/VAC and 20/PRESS. I hooked it up to my VAC hose and I'm wondering how I read my boost? Was I suppose to hook up the PRESS instead? Need HELP. How do I read my boost??

uh maybe it's just me but I'm not sure where your going with this. However, boost gauges should be hooked up to a vacum hose coming of the intake manifold. The FPR hose is a good way to go. Just T off that.

you'll see the needle go to boost when your in boost, if you hooked it to a vaccum then you did it right

So when I read how much boost im boosting... Do I follow the VAC reading or the PRESS? I have an 8.7 psi spring on my Tial WG. And will the needle ever go passed VAC towards the PRESSURE side, I haven't hooked up anything to my gauge but the VAC. Just got my kit installed and my gauges install 2day. Need to learn how to monitor my ****. NAH MEAN... THX foe all da help

where did you tap the line?? if done right you SHOULD see both vac and pressure(under boost) through the one line

Just hook it up to a vacum source on the intake manifold. when your Intake manifold achives boost pressure, so will your guage.

If your gauge never comes out of vacuum there are 3 things I see could be wrong:
1)Its hooked up wrong
2)The gauge is busted
3)You arent pushing the engine far enough

The gauge will not go into boost at idle (unless you have a really small turbo) are you just sitting there revving the car or have you driven it?
Also, is the spring actually in your wastegate? Did you also put in the little metal ring on the wastegate (I think it's called a firering??)

in addition, the turbo shouldn't be making ANY boost regardless of how hard you rev it when its not in gear...it needs a load to spool

not always the case...you can poduce po. pressure if you have high compression and or a small quick-spooling turbine.
I can spool .05~.1 BAR revving in neutral.
