Default Boost gauge install. Help anyone?

Hi all, just gathering info while i start piecing my turbo. I've gotten pretty much everything figured out but can figure out how a boost gauge works. I read somewhere online that i am supposed to hook it up to a vacuum source but don't know what that is. I'm guessing its somewhere in the manifold but i'm wondering, wouldn't the manifold be under pressure even when its n/a? So how would attaching a boost gauge allow correct boost readings? any suggestions/comment/or links to a site would be greatly appreciated. thanx

You need to tap into a vaccum line on your intake manifold with a t fitting. Then you take the hose that comes with your boost gauge and run it to your gauge. You will get an accurate reading.

Also, NA cars do not boost so if you put a boost gauge on a NA car at full throttle it will read 0. At idle it should read about -20 depending on the car.
