Question about using stock fuel feed line as a return
So while in the final phase of my fuel system, I pull the stock return line off and plug it, and when I removed the stock feed i found it is too short to reach the return, I know many do this type of setup and i would like to know what you did to make the setup work. I climbed under the car but could not get a good look as to where the metal line ends and the plastic line starts. I thought this was a "no brainer" switch but appartenly I was wrong.

I dont need info on how to adapt AN fittings to my stock pump bracket assembly, I can do that on my own. I was told using the stock feed as a return is a simple switch of the lines, it is not so i would like to know how others did theirs. I just got done spending 300+ on an fittings on 2 seperate orders.
On a side note, how exactly do you suggest I adapt the small rubber stock line to the bulkhead fitting? I would need to use a very tight radius 120 bend or so some sort of 90 bend to get the line parellel and then a an barbed fitting, but incase you have never used AN barbed fittings, they dont exactly just slide into the hose with no effort, and considering my line is very short now as it is, this is not a pheasable setup using the stock rubber hose, might as well replace the whole thing to the FPR at that point. Gotta remember that there is that funny EFI fitting at the end of the stock feed, so once you cut that off, the hose doesnt even pull fast the hole in the body.

Cut the stock feed with a pipe cutter down low and just clamp the return line onto it. Or you can buy a -5 tube nut, -5 sleeve, and a -5 to -6 male to male adapter and use -6 an fittings and line. All you need to do is 37deg flare the hardline.

all i did ben, was take out my fuel pump and leave it like that. done. capped the stock return line. but i dont know how different your fuel system is from mine.

Intank 255hp -6 to inline 255hp, then -8 to the rail. trying to save 100 or so on upgrading the return
on a side note: how good is your welding getting mikey?

i cut the stock feed right above where it bends to go under the car, put my stainless return line on it and clamped. Then i just took out my pump and let it pour in through the stock feed connection.
works perfect.

passed 1G open finally, i am only SMAW right now no tig, im pretty decent with a mig also. what you need?

i need alot of stuff done, beading around my charge pipes, brackets mounts on the FMIC brackets for the radiator. My friends G-Pop owns custom sheetmetal in Newport, he has always done my welding but he is a bullshitter, hoping he comes through for me this weekend

im using the stock feed as a return for my sumped aeromotive feed. cut off the stock fitting and pushed over some fuel hose from my regulator then use a hose clamp works
