Question about Turbo
If I got a 98 GSR motor and rebulid it, and turbo it out, what kinda brake and brake cables I would need for a 1997 Civic Ex Coupe? and what supsenion kit is required?

Opinon question if you ask me. You dont "require" any of it, but I would suggest at least some Teg brakes all the way around and some stiffer springs on some stiffer shocks. Of course, if it's just a daily driver (no track time) I don't really think the suspension stuff is worth the cost. I personally would do the brakes though...going fast rocks, but not being able to slow down definately does not rock!!!

Re: Question about Turbo (Ricey McRicerton)
atleast the 92-95 Civic EXs have the same front brakes as the GSRs. (correct me if I'm wrong!) so, you would be doing nothing to get new front brakes. The rear brakes are not as important (they only produce a fraction of the total braking force) but, you could upgrade to GSR/Civic EX (with ABS) rear discs. Another, possibly better, option is to get an Integra Type R 1" master cylinder and brake booster, since yours is only 15/16" inch. Upgrading the master cylinder make a huge difference and will be the cheapest, compared to the other options.

Well let me explain what I wanna do, I want to Rebuild the stock motor and get it to push maybe 200hp stock, and then I would do the external engine work, but I'm stuck on the internal part I dont know what to do, so far I have listed.
JG Edelbrock B-Series VTEC Honda/Acura Camshafts (http://www.lightingmotorsports.com)
JG Edelbrock Valve Spring Kits (http://www.lightingmotorsports.com)
The Quaife Differential Integra GS-R 94-01, Part Number: 60.309.180 Price: $875 (http://www.lightingmotorsports.com)
What other internals do I need to get it to push about 200hp stock, cause see my plan is to out run the Z06 and Mustang S351, and I know to do that I gotta have internal work. and Plus I wanna get a Turbo kit where I can get 100 to 200whp+ more than what I will have.

Re: Question about Turbo (KenRed)
Well hate to break it to you, but form reading your post it osunds as if you want to build the car allmotor to make 200 whp and then add the turbo. Sorry but i doesnt work like that. Look at it like this The mods that you would need to make a gsr 200 whp all motor are not going to work with turbo, example high compression, big cams, ect.... Turbo will produce power by itself you just need the additional things so that you can turn up the boost safely.
Im a big fan of taking steps, Imo i don't think beiung a turbo noob that building a motor and runnign alot of boost is the best decision. My suggestion is get a simple setup that is effective, run good fuel management, hondata, aem ems, ect... and make as much power as you can on the stock motor. Imo why waste the stock motor when it's not blown? Learn how to drive and handle your car, and learn more about FI, and then make bigger decisions.
