Default Question about overheating on boosted d16

Well i just blew my D15B with about 260,000 KM at 9psi. I found it majorly overheated and also the head gasket blew. I am swapping in a d16 this week and running 9lbs of boost. Just running an after market Head gasket and head studs. I am running everything else stock (rad etc.). I am just wondering will it keep overheating like my last setup and what i can do to prevent it. I am new to the turbo world, so any help would be appreciated. I just dont want to have to pull over every 20 mins and let it cool off. Thanks.

I run a stock y8 (stock gasket and studs *knock on wood*) and all is well. Just make sure you coolant levels are up to par and you should be fine. Alos make sure there is no air in the coolant system.

thanks alot. i mean i was thinking about getting a new rad and whatnot, but seriously, i aint ballin and dont really wanna dish out huge money for things i dont need. i am gonna get head studs and a gasket. I guess my old motor at 300,000 km was just ready to pack it in. Think it will handle 9 or 10psi stock alright?
