head gasket on backwards?

Default head gasket on backwards?

is there any way to tell if my headgasket is on upside down....my car keeps overheating and that is like he only thing I have not checked but i dont want to rip my head off...Im running a 3mm greddy copper on a D16...any way to check? I can take pics if that will help.

It may be blown, not upside down

If it is not on the right way it would be leaking massive amounts of oil.

you can blow a 3mm copper gasket???? i've drivin it for about 25 kms...every time I get it out (even on the lambda) it overheats...

no, just used the stock ones...tell me I can use the stock head bolts...please

well duh

sorry i could not help my self. well anyway how would using the stock head bolts cause it to over heat. he did not say it was leaking or anything. duh!

i would bet you have air in your coolent, or pipes or what ever. just blead it and see if that helps.

May I ask you why not? Bet you most people here has stock bolts. I use ARP but been boosting for a year with stock bolt until I took it apart again and add ARP while at it.

If your block is not properly o-ringed then mass amounts of coolant will seep into the combustion chamber...causing you to overheat.

it could be upsidedown cause my friend did that

he actually put it upside down and wrong side there should be a hole for the
vtec oil pressure on (assuming you have a sohcVTEC) left side and there should be a label on the head gasket to say which way is up
