question about my ross pistons help
i have a h22 with ross pistons the problem is i am going to run a turbo and you need.006 for the pistons to wall i only have .003 for the piston to wall
the ppl from the mach shop thinks that .006 is alot.
help

then ross pistons are scrap....they will make ALOT of piston slap when cold......i dont even thing a big block chev runs .006-.007 piston to wall clearence.........
sell those slugs and buy a set of JE or Wiseco pistons..

Funny. I just got off the phone with a mech engineer friend of mine who also builds motors and we were discussing this. What's the part number for your shelf pistons? Ross and Arias pistons expand more than some others but not enough to warrant .006 - .007 I would think. I will find out for you if you get me the part number.
