question about my gsr turbo set up
i have a built head and gonna use stock gsr cams cause my turbo is not big enough to run the pro1's i got, do i still have to dial them in or just slap them on right and go tune? and do i need to get aftermarket cam gears before i go tune?
im thinking ill just slap them on w/ stock cam gears and go tune, just double checking before i do something wrong. any info be great. tyring to break 450whp on 93 oct.
gsr head:
port & polished
3-angle valve job
ferrea dual springs & retainers
ferrea valves
supertech valve seals
stock gsr cams w/ stock cam gears
edelbrock victor x mani
gsr block:
ge sleeves
9:1 je pistons
eagle rods
oem main & rod bearings
oem thrust washers
moroso oil pan
my turbo kit is go-autoworks pro kit
garrett t3/t4 57 trim 50 ib/min
1000cc precision or rc racing injectors (didnt order them yet)

Re: question about my gsr turbo set up
GSR cams have very moderate overlap & produce awesome power without having to dial them in. Granted, cam gears may allow you to squeeze a little more out of them, but nothing excessive in my opinion.

Re: question about my gsr turbo set up
My head has been skimmed once or maybe twice now and my block is also getting decked/milled. I'm using gsr cams in my b16 and adjustable pulleys. For starters I aim to tune her on the street without tuning the adjustable gears. Am I going to free a lot of power if i hit the dyno and set the gears too???
