Default question about dart's B20 block

Dart advertises an extra tall deck height of 8.900 on their B20 block. What are the afvantages of this? Is it just increased displacement? And wouldn't that in turn lower your compression ratios?

They offer a tall block so you can stroke it for bigger cubes
Those blocks require custom pistons with the wrist pins moved down so the piston goes up more, or a longer rod ,or more stroke
