Question about ARP headstuds did search
ON the instructions in the box it says when using ARP moly lube to torque to 75 Ft lb. when using motor oil torque to 95 Ft lb. then on the very bottom it says something about aluminum and to torque aluminum to 45 Ft lb. This is for headstuds of course. so what is the torque really supposed to be?????? 75???? thank you all

Re: Question about ARP headstuds did search (intercooledJRSC)
I have always installed the studs in by hand untill they stop. Then using the moly lube, torque them to factory specs. I have used these studs on the last 40+ motors I have built, Never seen a problem with them.
The ones in my car have been re-used 7 times (Trying new heads) and they are fine too.
Btw. Thanks for the SC manifold John.

65ft-lbs with ARP moly lube and 81 ft-lbs oil. That is for an aluminum head. But I don't remember my torque specs for my old ARP being 75ft-lbs non aluminum but though they were 70ft-lbs.

Don't forget to "torque cycle" the studs/nuts.
If you plan on never taking the studs out you can use loc-tight on the block threads.
