Quench in FI apps?
How important is decent/good quench in FI applications?
I've read conflicting data on how quench is still very important on boosted motors, and yet other motors don't like quench and expanding the P2H distance actually increased knock tolerance.
So, how important is it in d-series motors?
Like, is it worth going with a Y8 head vs just using a Z6/A6 head for the added quench(Vitara pistons, FJ custom rods)?
I will be shooting for 400whp on 93oct.
