Q's: Valvetrain, Cams, and Turbo
I am currently in the process of rebuilding my engine (1st geb b16) for boost and have a few questions when it comes to the head. I am planning on running GSR cams and want to upgrade the valvetrain to handle a higher rpm limit, say something like 9000 rpm.
I'm thinking of the following....
GSR Cams
ITR Outers/Portflow Inners (Intake Side)
B16 Outers/B16 Inners (Exhaust Side)
Portflow Valves
Portflow Retainers
Anything wrong with the setup? Is the spring pressure going to be to high on either side and score my stock GSR cams?

you'll need to have a cam that will Make power up there. The gsr cams probley only make power till like 8500 at most. I would go with diff. cams. 1st thing i would do is look at eveyrbody else setups and see what setup works best for you. just my .02 cents

but for a turbocharged car are cams really necessary?if your turbo makes the most power in the upper rpms couldnt you just add stiffer valvesprings with a stock cam and let the turbo make the power?
