i'm going to be putting my motor back together this weekend and i have a few Q's. i have stock bore GSR with CP 9:1 and eagle H-beams. what do the rods need to be torqued down to?? and also with wat should i gap the rings with and what would be a good gap to set them at??
Good tune stock sleeves should hold a good 400-450whp for a while, but anything can happen. I torqued my 3/8" arp 2000 rod bolts on my Eagles to 43ft-lbs. I did it in 2 steps. First step 20ft-lbs, step 2: 43ft-bs.
Go to Laskeyracing.com for the gap filing, thats what I did.

CP should have ring end gap suggestions on their site. Eagle should have their stretch and torque specs on their site as well. You can use a flat file to file your rings but for $40 I suggest buying a ring filer from summit. Don't overdo your rings, they file fast, especially with a new disc in the filer.
