Putting motor back together, need some help

Default Putting motor back together, need some help

i'm going to be putting my motor back together this weekend and i have a few Q's. i have stock bore GSR with CP 9:1 and eagle H-beams. what do the rods need to be torqued down to?? and also with wat should i gap the rings with and what would be a good gap to set them at??

anyone?? how much hp can the stock sleeves hold??

Good tune stock sleeves should hold a good 400-450whp for a while, but anything can happen. I torqued my 3/8" arp 2000 rod bolts on my Eagles to 43ft-lbs. I did it in 2 steps. First step 20ft-lbs, step 2: 43ft-bs.

Go to Laskeyracing.com for the gap filing, thats what I did.

any idea wat they are suppose to be gapped at?

CP should have ring end gap suggestions on their site. Eagle should have their stretch and torque specs on their site as well. You can use a flat file to file your rings but for $40 I suggest buying a ring filer from summit. Don't overdo your rings, they file fast, especially with a new disc in the filer.
