put my motor together tonight (got a few questions)
ok well basically i put my motor together tonight, i have never put a motor together before. so i have a few questions. i am 95% sure i did everything properly. once the pistons and rods were installed, my piston has very slight play between the cylinder wall. i assume this is normal because of expansion right? leaves room so it can expand? and then where the rod bolts onto the crank, it has slight right to left play. i checked my stock gsr and it does the same thing, so i assume its normal as well. i torqued the rod bolts to 40 lb/ft and the main studs to 70 lb/ft. both are arp and using arp lube. everything sound good?

The pistons should have a bit of a gap and varies slightly depending on the pistons composition/expansion rates. Don't drive it till she's warmed up.
I don't have the ARP torque specs, but all sounds good and you will have a slight amount of left to right movement on the rod, but very very little.
May have missed your previous posts, but what did you put together?
