Pushing the set-up
Ok at the end of the last thread, the set-up produced 387 whp and 225 ft-lbs @ 9000 rpm.
The set-up:
Drivetrain-
Block- B18C1, OEM gsr crank + rods, 81.5 mm RS machine pistons (PTW 0.002"), OEM main bearings (bearing clearance 0.0018"), and ACL rod bearings (bearing clearance 0.0018")
Head- B16A2, stock port, stock valves
VT- Supertech springs H1002D, and 2002 rsx type-s retainers
Cams- Pro2 intake and Blox C exhaust
TB- Professional Products 68 mm
Ignition- Stock Dizzy, wires, and NGK 8's
Fuel Delivery- Walbro 255 and ID1000
EMS- OBD-1 converison, chipped P28, neptune'd
Trans- S4C, cable to hydro bracket, and CC stg 2 clutch
Turbocharger-
Turbo- Holset H1C model 3531456, 18 cm^2 exhaust housing with 3" v-band (DIY)
Manifold- Mini-ramhorn 1.5" sch 10 fitting (DIY), (Importdps)
Wastegate- Tial 38 mm
Oiling- GE Vtec sandwich plate, -4AN stainless braid (feedside), 12 mm x 1.5 to -4AN flare, -10AN stainless braid (return side)
Hotside charge piping- 2.5" Aluminum piping (Dynamic Performance)
Coldside charge piping - 3.0" ALuminum piping (Dynamic Performance)
Intercooler- Precision 600 Hp (Importdps)
BOV- Tial 50 mm
Map sensor - GM 3 bar
Downpipe- 3.0" stainless steel (IMW)
Exhaust- 3.0" stainless steel (Synapse Motorsports)
Parts (Importdps, Xenocron, and Verocious)
Tuning (IMW)
The purpose of the original thread was was to make a manifold that would produce power power and not creep excessively. I would say on both accounts this effort was successful.

And the plots
The next step is to turn up the boost via manual boost controller. For this step, I plan to use either e85 or C16.
We plan to see the power produced at the current wastgate pressure (11.2 psi) and approx 18 psi.
We have a tuning appt on 6/11.
Side note: I guess all motor cams don't work very well, LMAO.

Just out of curiosity, what's up with the dip in the torque? Must feel kind of weird to drive with that there, kind of like spooling twice lol. Is it from the cams?

your vtec should be set to 5250. That dip needs to be tuned out, afr or timing. Can rev alittle higher

id almost bet that the dip in the power band is from the cams... i tried a set of pro1 and pro 2 back to back on my turbo car and the pro 2 did the same thing.... made more power everywhere with the pro 1 and the HSL made more compared to both. just a thought

That cam setup is probably a good start.. you'll want a exhaust cam with a better ramp angle and ramp speed.
The exhaust cam needs to snap open the valves quick enough to let the exspelled gases out, but not so long to where boost is actually blowing out on the overlap.
Good setup non the less, i'd try something like the pro2 intake and pro1 exhaust...maybe a s2s3 exhaust, possible.

i have a dip like that using ctr cams, but it comes on a bit earlier, around 6500.
all in all it looks good, especially for 11psi. the setup holds tq well to 9000. it must rip in the ef

This website is F'in incredible...he is at 11psi and making 380, he's happy...why the hell "should" he need to change anything?
John Kerr and IMW are competent people, and they were THERE when the car was tuned, you werent. You dont have to tune out any "dip" ... its there, its called VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY, Google it

@ 11 psi making 380 is very respectable.

The "dip" was there when it was NA.
Let me make this as clear as possible, I have all of the confidence in the world in my tuner. He knows exactly what he's doing. This motor has seen more than a hundred pulls on that dyno. It's still going strong. I think we can all agree on this point. There are several factors which enable this engine to last so long: (1) the motor is well taken care of, (2) the quality of the build is good, and (3) the tuning has always been excellent.
Finally, I have a car that my wife thinks is fast.

I'm working on a set of cams now for a turbo car, should be posting up some good results here shortly.
Made 857 @ 35psi on pro1's and he just bought a set of my stage 1's so we'll see how he does, i'm using the idea i gave to you, with a smaller exhaust cam with a faster ramp speed.

Where in the torque curve do you see setting VTEC at 5250 would benefit it?
And can you tell me where VTEC is currently enabled?
Trust me, setting it lower that it is now kills the curve. Horribly. It could still stand to go up another couple hundred RPM, but I'm not into over-working the low-cam rockers.
What about this graph?
Where should VTEC be? And where does it come in at currently?
