push and pull fan question...
so i've done a lot of research in regards to fans and what not... so i'm running a dual core eg half rad, out of an automatic... and i got the hook up on 2 14'' slim fans and i was wondering what peoples thoughts were on running a push and a pull fan.
ofcourse i'll have them wired so i can turn them individually on and off, but jus wondering what peoples thoughts are.
thanks guys

Re: push and pull fan question...
i'm wondering about this as well. i'm currently having overheating problems in 80+ degree weather going 80mph, but when i slow to 65 it goes back down to half-way.
i also have no-name civic half rad with a FAL slim fan pulling the air (not shrouded tho), then found my stock rad fan and tried mounting it as a push fan but it doesn't fit, so i wanna buy another slim fan and mount it as a pusher and wire both fans to my own switch. hopefully this'll keep underhood temps down.

Re: push and pull fan question...
Dont use a pusher and a puller, a shroud and a puller fan is a much better route to go. I know Mishimoto sells shrouds that are not very thick for people with clearance issues. My car always ran real hot in the summer with a Fluidyne Half and a cheap $50 slim fan with no shroud, I have a shroud now for it and I am thinking about a Spal Fan and possibly an Electric Water Pump.

You could try it, but the air flow would be obstructed on both sides, so I do not think it would be needed.
The shroud/fan set-up we sell is roughly 3.5" thick at it's widest point.
OP, are you having any overheating issues?
esedulerp5tenin, maybe you need to flush out your current radiator by chance. There should be no reason your car is overheating at higher speeds and then it goes back down at slightly slower speeds. Does it overheat at idle at all? The only other thing I can think of that may be plaguing you is is either a HG that is starting to fail (under acceleration), or a failing water pump.

nope, not overheating at idle. i tried bleeding the coolant today and noticed the t-stat didn't even open after the fan cycled on/off twice. and its about 80-85 degrees today. its a new (autozone) t-stat, honda water pump has about 20K on it. and when i'm cruising @ 80mph, i'm not even boosting, so i doubt HG.
