Damn...that is cheap!!! As asked above, do you know if you can run a smaller bottle or nitrous type bottle with this setup?

Yes you can rune a smaller bottle! I run a 5lb bottle they make a 2.5 im pretty sure. The best place to look for propane bottles is a RV camper store they sell all kinds of weird size tanks etc.

Can you just run propane injection sort of like water injection? Is there a way to base how much propane is injected based on a Map sensor? I think that would be a much more reliable way of doing it.

Yes, you inject propane much the same way as you injection alky/water, usually with a hobbs switch. As far as I know right now there is no progressive propane controller, but i'm sure you could rig up a way to use a progressive nitrous controller to control how much flow the solenoid(s) allow.

Actually, there are some progressive controller kits out on the market! They are quit expensive but they are made.

here is a kit that offers a progressive controller!

do you know of any people useing it one a supercharger, like jrsc. it would have to go through the blower of the supercharge. if you know of people useing it on that how did it work, good, bad.

Yes I have! it works just fine propane is injected in a gaseous form no harm to the blower~

Cool, I would rather use methanol injection over propane. Meth definately has the octane but it also absorbs a lot of heat.

Methanol is corrosive and it does not get a long well with aluminum. It’s a huge pain to flush your system all the time. And water absorbs more heat than Methanol

looks intresting but there is really no informtaion on how the kit works or operates. How do they fill the propane tank from the side of the car? never seen that kinda fitting before, all the places that fill my tank just fill grill type tanks so it might be a pain to find a place that will that that kinda setup? but like I said there is really not that much info about the kit.

So the propane system is always on? Meaning once you start the car the tank is open and running(After you manually open the tank?). The system is always misting propane into your TB? I read that it comes on at a preset amount of boost. So we set it at the boost pressure we want it to come on at. Ie - 10 psi like you said. So before <10 psi we're just using 91 octane? After 10psi, 110+ octane?

very interesting stuff...
thanks

so do you have the bottle mounted in the trunk(sideways or vertical?) and have a rubber hose running the the engine bay?

You can setup the propane to come on at a predetermined boost level, use it as a fuel source with nitrous, or if you wanted to try using propane to run a high compression motor on pump gas I guess you could use a WOT switch.

I mounted my bottle vertically and I replaced the rubber hose with steel braded line, and ran that to my engine bay.

Does it matter how you mount it? and you said its injected into the tb, would that be before or after the plate? Is that the best place to have it or could you have it setup to inject into a charge pipe before the tb or maybe injected into each runner like direct port? Where would be the best place to have it, cause I was reading on how you have to recirculate the bov so you dont shoot out propane into hot engine bay components..

I have 2 bovs one mounted after each turbo, still running open loop, and the propane nozzle I mounted about 24 inches downstream from the throttle body. I'm not sure if you can mount the bottle horizontally, you could check with OGS or a tank manufacturer.

You cannot mount the bottle on its side. They make a speacail kind of bottle that can be used horizontally but your average BBQ propane tank cannot. The reason being is it will inject liquid propane into your engine, not a good idea. You want to inject the Vapor!

uh.. i'm not sure, but is propane flammable? what happens if you get in an accident with this stuff in the trunk? it seems like it would be flammable since it burns in your engine...
