Default Profec B

I recently installed a profec b and with high boost all the way up I can only run 21-22psi. If I remember correctly I have a tial with a 7psi spring. Do I need to upgrade to a higher spring to run more boost?

why dont you get like a 27 lb spring and use the controller to keep a lower boost?

LOL, you can not lower the boost than what the spring is set for. Its ok rookie mistake.

you must be kidding anyway, the profec b only goes 14psi over the spring rate. so get a 10lb or 14psi spring. i heard there is a way to get more out if it. call greddy and ask. i think it was some different way of running the vacuum lines or something. also it tops out at 28psi even if you have a 20psi spring but greddy can get it to boost over that i hav ebeen told.

es you can turn up the boost as long as you increase the spring rate on the wastegate-- this allows you to safely run higher boost-----lol just kidding-- guess who this is......

hint -- see you tomorrow at 1:00 after lunch for my gasket---lol
i just joined heere--- looking for stuff

wrong again. greddy who deals with the product he bought will help him increase the boost if it is possible. greddy doesnt just deal with internal wastegates. they sell external wastegates and they sell turbo's w/o internal wastegates.give them a call.

sorry i wasnt thinking abuot the boost controller only the turbo set up and the application from spring onward-- i guess greddy would be the people to ask--
IMO boost is boost-- the black box of the boost controller has a sensor onceit is connected to the vaccuum lines, it reads boost pressure and the controller regulates from that-- if the max setting it can control is 21-22 psi, then i would assume that this is the max he can boost with that controller-- now the Greddy e-01 as well as HKS pvc can control upto 36 psi or 2.5 bar

youre really looking to drop the new block in huh??

correct, now on the 7 pound spring you may be stuck at 21-22 but on a 14 or 20 lb spring there is a way to get it to pass 28lbs. I just dont know how to do it. also, the evc 4 and 5 along with the blitz that say they can get to 36psi. that is also with a 20lb+ wastegate spring. I called hks and blitz and if you are running a 14lb spring you cannot get it up to 36psi.

My profec b hold boost and doesnt spike at all even with the nitrous. but a lot of the reason is because of the hks wastegate. it regulates boost very well.
