Default problems w/ high vacuum on deceleration

sometimes im getting high vacuum during decel. it would read about 26hg. and when i get vacuum this high, and i give it some gas, i could see blue smoke puffing out of my exhaust. normally it reads 24hg.
thanks in advance.

im assuming you have a turbo if your posting in the part of the forum. you will get your max vaccum when you decelerate. i think the reason why your car is blowing that clooud of smoke is becaise you dont have any oil restictor in your feed line or your oil drain is too small, or your oil drain needs to be higher up on the pan.

most likely cause is valve seals. the vacuum is sucking oil in past the intake valve seals if that is the case.

i would say f it if it were mine. fast cars are suppost to smoke... right?

yes, if you have had the turbo kit on for a long time and no problems until now i would also say that its valve seals. but i was assuming you just got the kit on...?

yeah i just had the turbo on about two months. i got worst in the past two weeks. last year i was running a jrsc. i had similar issues, although it was only once in a while.

i just change my oil and add in bardahl no smoke additive, doesnt seem to puff blue smoke anymore, but i still get high amounts off vacuum, even on light deceleration. between 3-4k rpm.
i was thinking of the valve seals as well. but do u think im 26-27 HG worth of vacuum is ok?

blue /gray smoke = buring oil

smoking on decel= valve seels or guides
smocking on aceleration = rings

at idle i have 21hg.
during deceleration around 24hg. but it would tend to drop to 26hg sometimes.

Sounds like classic honda ring seal problem. Most people guess valve seals....in theory it sounds good. But I have always had to re-ring them to fix it.

Mine only blows black smoke on WOT. Oh....that's good.

You are probably getting the blueish smoke on deaccel coming from a high rpm right? I would guess the problem is your valve seals too since you're idle vac is really good.
I have 18-19 mmHg at idle and about 22 mmHg at deaccel. No blue or white smoke.

at idle your car SHOULD read about 21, mine reads 23 at idle and 26 on decel.
If the car smokes when you first start it up it's valves seals,
take off your mani's if you can and look in at the valves and rub your fingers on them thats how i found mine.
is the car consuming oil or justs smokin a little?

if there is a problem like the valve sticking closed then you would have blowby. but it wouldnt happen all the time....only once pressure is built up in the crankcase

well usually i get high vacuum on decel. only when im above 4k. but recently i get vacuum this high no matter if my rpm is lower or higher.

as for the blue smoke. i havent noticed it after adding in some additive.
im running open catch can with no pcv valve. so i dont think thats the problem since its not routed back to the intake.
i burn a lil oil, i mostly notice it on deceleration. i dont blow any smoke during start up.

the vacuum is fine. mine is the same way you are gonna have high vacuum on decel. the vacuum is not causing your issue to give a clear answer. that is what everyone is trying to say.

yea, having too much vacuum isn't goin to hurt unless it's something serious.
i would say do a leakdown and compression test that will tell you 100% what the problem is right off the bat.
sounds like valves seals though unless it smokes alot under boost, that would be your piston rings
