Default problems with newly installed turbo

just installed my custom turbo kit yesterday and i ran into a couple of problems after i test drove it. (1) Overheating- i think that i have my water lines to my turbo crossed. i have one line going into the throttle body and the other line going to the head where the line from the throttle body was going. car would drive fine for about 10 min normal driving and then start to overheat, and about 5 mins after driving harder (under boost). (2) Oil leak- started to leak oil pretty bad after a hard drive. Smoking really bad too but only when the car is running. looks like one of the cam seals or the valve cover gasket. (3) car bogs- after normal driving the car was fine. no bogs or nothing. aafter one hard run, it starts to bog now and it bogs all the time now. sounds like its missing. Im thinking it could be the spark plugs. just ordered the zex turbo/nitrous plugs last night. hopefully that will solve that problem.
Any info or advice or wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

did you bleed and top off the coolant after the install ?? there might be air bubbles in there

how is the intake done ?? do you have a hose fo the intake/charge pipe going into your valve cover ? if so remove this hose
when you boost the air is going thru the intake hose to the valvecover and causing high pressures in the head and probably your block

BlackCRX-
i did bleed and top off all of the fluids. when i bled it i saw some foamy coolant and then the coolant came out with no bubbles at all. and this was before i test drove it.. i dont have that hose hooked up to my valve cover any more. i have a breather filter on it. should i take that off?

meanB6teen-
its is leaking oil around the distrubutor, cam seals and back of the valve cover., in that area.

wantboost-
do you seggestthat i get a smaller fmu, maybe a 10:1 or a 8 :1?

you may need a new speed sensor. it's a plug somewhere on the tranny. and you are running lean cause of the fmu thats why you are bogging. get rid of it. and get some bigger injectors. 1 more thing are you sure the oil isn't leaking from one of your oil lines? cause you said it happens when you hit boost.

alright, what about the hose connected from your valve cover to your IM? you will want to reroute that as well... this COULD have some effect on your oil leakage you are talking about.. take out the pvc and run a hose to the ground at the least..

bogging could be several issues, hard to tell until you do some hit and miss...

don't get bigger injectors unless you have a way to control it.. imo you should ditch the FMU and go with a civic p05 ecu, socket it, buy a burner and go with uberdata.. that way you would have been about as cheap as an FMU and you can program when/how you want, and be safer..

i found the oil leak. it was coming from the breather filter and i had a bad valve cover gasket. i also fixed my overheating problem. i had my coolant lines going into my turbo connected wrong. i didn't tee them off. i tee'd the lines off and its not overheating any more.
one thing did happen though after i fixed these things, i had the car idling and the tee fitting on the back of the block either came loose or snapped because oil is leaking bad from there now. couldn't really tell if it snapped though because it was late and i didnt feel like crawling under the car. will check though asap tomorrow morning. i will keep you all updated. thanks for the input

damn thats some low low compression. im kind of interested to know why you spent the money to get a full ignition upgrade along with a fpr/rail but cheaped out on the fmu and some injectors?

the 12:1 fmu isnt always the bogging problem. i had one on my car for 2 years. before i saw your compression numbers i was gonna day a compression and leakage test is in order, but since you have, i think you have melted a ring land or nuked a piston.
