problems with new install turbo
I just recently installed my custom turbo-
I am new to force induction so please bare with me. I've searched countless hours and hours doing research and read maximum boost already...
here's my setup...
t3 t4 turbo
starion intercooled
msd 6a ignition with external coil
450 cc injectors with inline resistors
apexi safc-not tuned yet
all charge pipings with 1st dsm bov
35mm tial wastegate
boost and air fuel gauge
walbaro fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator
well, i started the car today and started fine. Smoke only due to it sitting for a month. After 15 minutes no smoking and sounds like it's off timing. I drove it around the block and the weird thing is once it got to 3k, when the turbo kicked in, the car seemed to bog out and died. It started up again but when you press on the gas it bogs out and no power at all. I don't know if I connected the boost gauge right because it is reading the vacuum side of about 10. When revving a little it will move down to 5 on vacuum side. I haven't had time to tune the afc hack yet. I dont have an O2 sensor on yet because i didnt get one until today and will weld in a place for it close to O2 exhaust. What can be causing the car to not want to go at all now? Any help is appreciated, thanks....If items are not specific please ask I will try to answer them and post up pictures.

If you didn't set the afc, you're probably running too rich. Search for afc hack, and there is some basic setting you can go off of. Good luck.
the fact that the afc isnt dialed in, plus the fact that you have no o2 sensor is most likely a fuel issue
i doubt using the MAP for the BOV is a problem the signal is coming from the manifold anyways
get an o2 sensor , all that hard work to blow it up aint worth it
but it mos def sounds liek a fuel issue to me

i had a problem with my hondata not being tuned properly and that in turn made my car run so rich that not only would it not idle w/o feathering the throttle, but it also would foul the plugs when the car started up...be careful, replace your plugs and have it tuned before you try driving it hard.

yeah-could not take off the O2 off of my DC for the love of christ-finally took it to a buddy to see if he had luck after i stripped it
-couple of minutes and we had it off-by that time i had everything in the car already except O2

o2 sensor is part of the problem, but it seems that you are not pulling much vac., either. I don't think it REALLY matter is the BOV is hooked up with the MAP, but I'd connect the BOV to some place else, just to eliminate any issues of lag caused by the extra line...
just check all your lines to correct the vac.

reset your ecu then restart your car again ...
you are going to have to tweak your afc settings to get it running right.
your baseline settings seem good to work from though

do u have any check engine lights. your Vac gauge should read -18 to -22 on the boost side.. if your at -10 .. i would guess that it is fuel... what is your fule pressure, are u sure it is times... DONT TIE TO MAP, what car and ecu ?
vacuum lines were reading around 10-12 but considerably went down to 2-5
i have a 92 ls 1.8 b18a with pr3 or 4 can't remember right now
yes, check engine light is still on
checked the codes and it was 3 which is map sensor
still idles like s h i t though
