problems fine tuning profec B
ok , i guess this is boost spike , im tryin to get my controller to 8 lbs and it will go up to like almost 9 , then back down to like 7.9 right away...then as i get up in the rpms it will drop back down slowly to like 6.5 lbs...i cant get this thing tuned right ,i tune it with 4th gear pulls. and when i think ive got it right , ill happen to look at it when im in 2nd or 3rd and it will be in the 6's . its ****** anoying. can anyone help me?
Are u sure this is a boost controller related problem??
Did you just switch from a manual one?
There isn't really much to the profec b, just turn ****, set to desired boost level and it works.

no this is my first controller..... i did the internal wastegate "mod" and it was fine , then i put it back to stock..... i cant seem to get this thing to even out.
the internal wastegate mod is where you turn the actuator screw in to up the boost , people do that who dont have boost controllers that want to up the boost
yes this is the spec 2

Make sure you have taken the default 10% GAIN out first.
Then go from there.
I had a .4 bar spring and was running very steady at .8 bar all day with the Spec II. There isnt a single problem with the controller!

you might have a problem elsewhere. i had boost creep bad form 8psi spring with no controller it creeped to 12psi. i had a bad exhaust leak from a crack in the back of my manifold. i had to mig weld all the cracks up and now it will steadily boost 8 psi. this might not be your problem but this is what i've experienced with boost creep problems.
dude i had the same problem.. my boost was spiking like crazy and my low boost option didn't even work for me. i got rid of that **** and got the turbo xs manual boost controller, no boost spike and i love it

you should have seen my dyno plot with that profec B. it went crazy, we had it set at like 10 psi and it was bearable. when we tried to go up just to 11psi, it went crazy and was creeping to 1 bar +. the option of high boost / low boost is great, but the mbc has worked best for me (performance wise)
