Problems with engine after turbo, PLEASE HELP!!!!
OK i installed my new motor in my car, it is a b16a turbo motor, built and whagt not, i have a 94 civic dx coupe , and now ever since the turbo is on my car has had some problems
-first- down low it sputters and jumps like im double steppin but im not cuz it does this with every one who drives it,
-second- i cant stay at a constant speed its eaither on or off the gas, so drivability sucks rigt now
-third- my car idles like it has a cam in it, i got it fixed for a day with the idle air screw, but now its back, i checked all vaccumes and they are connected what could that be?
i was told it could be the hondata needs tuning which is happening next week or i need a SI throttle cable, and the idle could be a vaccume leak i will check into it but if anybody has has the same problems please help me!!

I'd first check for vacuum leaks, then check out or replace the IACV or the ignitor, as either one of those could be causing some of the symptoms, as far as I understand. The ignitor seems more likely, since you have driveability issues and it's not just a shitty idle. Anyone agree?
yup, it sputters cause you're not getting constant fires. I had a similar problem at the track, my ignitor went out and i couldnt figure out what it was, thought it was bad racing gas from the track. when i revved the car, it was sputtering, sounded like detonation. and when i ran it, the rpm would stick and then jumps up all of a sudden. changed the ignitor and everything went away.
mines not so much a sputter though it almost sounds just like a pulse but it could very well be the ignitior and also i feel my timing is off so i need to have that checked

I have the same thing. In low end and some upper end RPM's it's sputtering and jerky when I hit the gas. It has a slight miss at idle, and when revving and holding RPM's at a constant level it will miss still. Ignitor?

sounds like mine, jerks when i apply throttle, wont stay constant, pulses down low, and drives like its me hitting the gas with my foot as fast as i can

Whelp, add an ignitor to the list of tried remedies... Just put a new one in and nothing changed. I'm thinking maybe clogged injectors...

I work at a local parts store. I got it special ordered, and still cost $35 less than Discount wanted for it. If you want it, it's brand new as I'm putting my old one back on since this one didn't help. I'll sell ya it for what I paid ($65+s/h).

check plug wires, plugs and cap/rotor. Then do the ignitor, but if ignitor was real bad, it should leave you stranded by now.
