Default problem with the fuel regulator....help

i just installed a JRSC on my GSR...i had a stock regulator and cut it for the b&m adjustable application. i also have a BLOX FMU 12:1 and also the B&M pressure guage...

OK here's the problem....the fuel preasure says over 100psi im not sure whats coz i heard that a stock regulator is only capable of going 60psi or lower...could it be my fmu? my regulator? my guage?

Is this your fuel pressure at idle? Or after the car has been running/boosted? The FMU raises fuel pressure 12 psi per 1 psi of boost, so fuel pressure in excess of 100psi during boost is entirely possible.

no...it happened when i barely started the car..it barely taped it to 3000 rpm or lower then all we saw was the presure guage it up to 100psi.its kinda strange...im not really sure if the stock regulator that i cut was too short....or the fmu that i have is to rich...

fuel pressure in excess of 125psi is not possible however...

say base fuel pressure (hose off) is 40psi... boost at 7psi, 12:1 FMU you yield:

40+7*12+7 = 131psi.

however I've yet to see an inline fuel pump that flows anything at 125psi, let alone creates more than 125psi.

proof again that the walbro 255HP isn't gonna cut it:

But alas, I am *way* off topic

To answer your question, the FMU or regulator might be stuck internally... or you fubared the B&M install.

Do you have an inline fuel pump between the fuel filter and fuel rail? Is your gauge mounted on the fuel filter? If the answer to both these questions is yes, then your gauge will not read corectly. You will need to mount a gauge after the pump to get an accurate reading.
