problem with boost....
aiight... my problem is.. when i begin to boost in 3rd, 4th, 5th gear... my check engine light goes on.. for the map sensor.. then my car just starts running like crap... 1st gear will bog all hard.. but i shut off my car and then turn it back on.. and the light goes away and runs fine again...but it never happens through 1st and 2nd gear.... i think its the missing link because the one im using was used and found as a spare part from a friend shop...
also.... i cant blow off at a stand still... is that because of a leak? maybe in the map sensor.. because i dont think theres a leak anywhere else...

First of all, most people cant blow off at a stand still, because at a standstill your motor isnt seeing enough load to spool the turbo, unless your turbo is tiny. As for the code, I would try a new missing link, or maybe some check valves......

Re: problem with boost.... (genop)
yeah i figured that the stand still thing would be like that... most people around here have a t3/t4 hybrid... so it spools fairly quickly... but i have a big dog t04e.... im investing in a new missing link either way.. because i just dont feel right with the used one... i wont need it soon though because i plan on buying sds engine management...
do you think a missing link is better than check valves? or vice versa?
thanks for the reply
