Here is my dilemma. I know that hondata has to be tuned on a dyno. Unfortunatly the nearest dyno is about 600k away. I want to get my turbo set up put here, because I have a buddy who will do it for cheap. My question is, how will I be able to get the car to the dyno? Does the hondata have a base map built in so that I can limp the car to the dyno? Or will I have to use some other form of tuning in order to get my *** to the dyno?

If I bought a used s200 with boost off someone with the same engine, would I be able to use those base maps?

Any help is appreciated!

1) You can find base maps that'll get you the dyno. Just don't try and boost on them.

Or

2) You can "street" tune if you have a wideband O2 sensor. Hondata is capable of "autotune" with the appropriate wideband signal.

if you can tune ur self then liek said above use a WB and street tune..

If ur odb2 i got an aem ems for sale (30-1020) all u need is a laptop and you can tuen on teh fly without needing to burn chips or havign ur ecu open.

yeah dude, you don't need a dyno at all... street tuning is fun! from what I understand you actually get a more accurate tune on the street... unless you have traction problems

take out the spring in your wastegate and drive there on the basemap. You'll be just fine. When you take the spring out, you pretty much cannot make boost so you'll be ok.

I drove for weeks like this before I went to get my car tuned on the dyno.

does removing the spring cause any damage to the wastegate? will it cause ur turbo to overspin?

I might need to do this as well.

It'll be fine. By bypassing the exhaust gases through the WG, you're barely spinning the turbo at all. Probably just run pig rich til you get it tuned.

thats interesting how you can street tune with a AEM EMS, that seems fleasible but i have Hondata and i love every bit of it.....

Ok here's another question. What size of injectors would you reccomend I run with hondata? Right now I have some DSM 450s but I think I'm going to give them to my brother. My goal is around 15psi after I get my internals. I
ll be happy with anything in or around 300whp. Before that, I'm going to be running 7psi on the stock internals. I also have a walbro 255lph. Would I be fine with rather large injectors running 7psi?

440cc injectors will work for you at 300hp. Running large injectors is fine since the Hondata system will be controlling them.

OK well say I went with like a 780cc injector, because god knows I'll want to run more boost sooner or later. Would they be fine at 7psi? I'm assuming they'd just run a low duty cycle and be ok, correct?

1st - if you are going to talk **** at least use proper english.
2nd - that was your 1st post, what a way to come to h-t by bashing a great company and tuning system
3rd - if it is tuned correctly it will run better than stock ie: stock idle

get an uberdata and a wideband o2 sensor for less then the price of the hondata. You'll have to street tune it yourself, but it's a good learning experience.

The techedge o2 sensor costs $255 shipped with the o2 sensor if you put it together yourself.

Wow I just downloaded the uberdata program. Very cool. Looks like that's the path I'll take.
