Pressure problems with MR2 turbo, please help
Hey guys, i'm here to ask you all about this problem we have with a client's car, the car is stock internal (just rebuilded the turbo and the internals), it has a Greedy Intercooler kits (which BTW is awesome), an HKS fuel cut defender and a Greddy boost controler (the model i think is the TVVC or something like that, is just like a metal valve).
The car has some REALLY ugly boost spikes, and there are some VERY high discrepancies on different gears, like om 5th the car boosts something like 16 while on 4th and 3rd the car just boosts 8-9psi. The spikes hit as high as 19-20 psi sometimes, and i don't think it's normal, i know every turbo spikes, but i'm afraid this one is spiking too high, i tought the wastegate is not sealing properly or maybe the BOV (STOCK btw) is not flowing the way it should.
