Preparing for Turbo LS engine...
I'm thinking I'm going to turbo my gs that I'll be getting with the money I save from getting a gsr.
What things can I do when looking for a car so ensure that it is turbo ready? I am looking at a 98ish gs with about 50-70,000 kms. I am assuming a compression test, but what else? What should my comp test be if I want to run under 10lbs of boost on a kit that I put together, I want it to run 13's.
Thanks!!

Just look for a car the same way you normally would. Try and find one that is well maintained, and the person can provide receipts. A compression test would be a good idea. Are you planning on sticking with stock internals or building it? BTW, where in Ontario do you live?
I'm in Ottawa, but haven't bought the car yet.
I would like to keep stock internals for now at least. So comp test, what should my numbers be and what else should I check? Anything else I should replace first? Like I said I am aiming for 13's, I've heard this is possible with stock internals?
Thanks!

13's shouldn't be a problem on stock internals. I'm not sure what the numbers should be, but the most important part is that they are even or close between cylinders. Make sure you do it with the car warmed up too. If you have enough money there are lots of things you could do to be on the safe side. Replace the timing belt, you will need some 7 series plugs (BCPR7ES-11), replace cap and rotor, wires, etc. All that isn't necessary, except the plugs, but it wouldn't hurt.

I'm assuming thats what you have DIRep972,
Your on stock internals? How long have you had this setup?
Anything else I should check to a car I'm thinking of getting besides comp test?
Thanks again!!!

LS, Hondata, dsm injectors, and some custom 3'' piping and you'll have one hell of a fast car for very cheap. If you dont mind the trouble you would probably be better off buying a 94-95 ls with lots of miles and swapping in a new motor...b20 perhaps
