Default Precision Turbo?

I've been in the market for a Garrett GT3076R for a while now but i've been holding out for an unbeatable deal. I finally found a price I can't pass up but it is a Precision turbo rather than a turbo direct from Garrett. I've always been under the impression that Precision turbos are the exact same as the Garretts with the only difference being that there is a "Precision" logo in the casting of the compressor and turbine housings. Is there any real differences between the Garrett GT3076R and the Precision version of it? Is there anything i need to know about Precision Turbos before buying it???

Any info would help, thanks.

Precision uses their own compressor covers and turbine housings. You're fine

Precision is a Garrett Distributor, they receive Garrett compressor wheels and turbine wheels, Whole CHRAs, in some cases(GT42R) also the housings. Precision casts their own compresson and turbine housings and assembles the turbos using their housings and Garrett components. Precision is an awesome company and very good at warranty work when it is ever needed. In some cases they also offer the Garrett turbine housings too. I do believe they offer their housings to keep costs down.
