I dont quite follow.
garrets gt stuff was strictly 4 bolt ..so why go to five?
they going to be joining forces with precision??????

my turbo is rated at 55lbs/min max flow and it is a gt30R.
so thats like 550 hp.
so many damn names, numbers and specs...too confusing at times

You have to rember that flow ratings are a compressor's flow rating. So since they have the same compressor wheel then I guess you can say it flows the same. But does it?

SC61 still uses a highly efficient GT Wheel But I'd run a SC60 if your bottom end isn't built, yet.. Rather laggy up front. gt35e is not standard ball bearing. Thats another upgrade.

Hmm.. so the new GT series garrett turbos use 5 bolt housings rather than 4 bolt?! Does precision even offer the gt35e w/ a 4 bolt turbine housing? Thanks..

A better comparison of this thread would have been a standard t3/t4E ball bearing vs. GT35E.

Old school tech + BB vs. new school tech / non BB

Do you guys think the Precision GT35e would be overkill for my GSR motor with Arias 9:1 cr 50 over pistons, Crower rods, blockguard, and ARP headstuds. Would 14psi even be within it's efficiency?

I think it would be in its efficiency, but what's the point of spending so much on a turbo when your not going to use it to its full potential? You could spend less money and do the same thing with a T3/T04E.

14psi is one of the places this turbo really shines. If the motor is strong and the tune is good this turbo will make 400whp @ 14psi. If you want the best combination of power and minimal lag, the GT35e can't be beat @ its price.

so far so good with mine it makes boost really fast fo rsuch a big turbo, it will hit 8 lbs at only 4500 or so on my car, when we were tunung yesterday, we had to tune 3000 rpm for boost b/c it was already making 2-3lbs. If I could just de bug my vtec studder I will let you know its full potential. If it ever stops raining here I will post some pics the car really did turn out flawless!
