I've search for help but nothing really helps me. All help is greatly appreciated.

I'm interested in buying a precision turbo, but dont know which one to get? I want to be able to drive my car on an almost daily baises. I cant find out whats the difference between the SC61 and the SC34? I know the 61 hold more HP but is it ok for Daily Driving??? or does it lag to much??? Baisicly my QUESTION is which turbo is better for a 300-350HP daily driver???? If neither turbo is good for this, which one do you guys recomend??? ALL help is appreciated. this question is for a GSR motor.

ALSO, what is the best tuning method to reach these HP numbers???

Thanks for your question. We just had a customer call and say that he got 400 hp at the wheels with a SC61 at just 15 lbs of boost on a 1.8L. That was, however, a fully built engine that's going to spend almost all of it's time on the track.

All of the info with regards to wheels, etc used on these turbos can be found on our web site at http://www.precisionturbo.net.

We would typically recommend the SC32, which should give you 400 peak hp at the wheel. Notice I say peak. At 15 psi on pump gas, I would say you be around the 325 mark. That's definitely less hp, but quciker spooling because of the smaller wheel diameter.

Another (although more expensive) option would be a GT3071R, which has a dual ball bearing center section, which would help you spool quicker. Since this is a full GT turbo, I would expect this to make more power than the SC32. This is what I'm planning to drop onto my SVO this Spring.

I would recommend the SC34E for your goals. The SC34E is good for your power goals and gives you a little room to grow.

 

Can't disagree with the SC34 . . . and I screwed up. They got 400 rwhp at 11psi with a GT35R on a 1.8L. I've had a bad day . . .

What about the SC50? Wouldn't it be good for his setup and goals?

 

a good friend of mine has SC34 on a b18b. sees 11psi boost by 3.5k. dyno like 260 or something to the wheels. thing flies
