The trims and wheel exducers are different...
SC3431E has 2" exducer and a 76 wheel trim...
SC3427E has a 2.121" exducer and a 69 wheel trim...
Everything else is the same..

I'm soo confused...My friend ordered an SC34 with his revhard turbo kit that he got from Tom at CAMP1320.com The number etched on the compressor housing is 3431E. And there was no A/R number on the exhaust housing.

Now we sent the turbo back to Tom thinking we got the one with the .48 a/r. Tom said that he'll switch the exhaust housing with a .63 a/r one. He also insisted that there is no difference in the exhaust wheels... (???)

Is the 69mm wheel better or the 76mm?

the 69 trim/27E wheel is a stage 2 wheel... the 76 trim/31E is a stage 3 wheel. just affects spoolup and peak power really. the housing should say the a/r on it.

Do you have any links to the different stages of turbine wheels or what their differences mean in terms of performance?

Awesome, thanks alot.

Also, we figured there should be a number on the exhaust housing, but it was literally "smudged" out. Like the imprint got messed up or something.
