These are the options you have with a SC61.
Compressor can have a T04E or T04S compressor cover. The T04E has a 3" inlet/ 2"outlet. The T04S has a 4" inlet/ 2.25" outlet. The Compressor wheel in the SC61 is a GT40 wheel. The GT40 measures at 2.41" inducer/ 3.22"exducer.

The turbine can come in a T3 or a T4.
With the T3 you can get 63AR.
T350 wheel .76 trim(equals a stage 5 wheel)
T04 wheel .69 trim (larger than a stage 5, smaller than an O-trim)
T04 wheel .76 trim(equals a P-trim)

T4 turbine housing with the trims abouve with the exception of the stage 5 wheel since that is for a T3.

The sc63 does come t3 flanged but could be built with a t4 I'm sure. The sc63 is the big dog of t3/t4 turbos. 449whp at only 15psi on a 9:1 compression 1.8 liter motor!!!! 559 whp so far at 22psi. SFP has made 708@32psi on the sc63 also!!!

beleive it or not it has less lag than my 62-1 by far. look at the dyno chart>>

compare it to my 62-1 at 26psi of boost. It builds power much more gradually.

Ok so everyone talks about the sc61 and sc63 turbos, but what about the sc54. I was told it was bigger than but the sc61 and sc63. So whats the answer. Or has no one used an sc54 yet.

the sc54 is just a 60 trim turbo, while numericaly higher then th 56 trim in the sc61, the 61 out flows the 54.

Ok, let me see if I can make sense of this so you guys can under stand this.

Fist of all lets go over some familys of compressors.
-T04E
-T04B

Now some turbine wheel familys:
-T31
-T350
-T04

So if you look at precisions turbos from the SC50-SC44, all these turbos are in the T04E compressor family. The E family has 6 compressor blades and 12 totol including the sub-blades. So below I will list the trims of each compressr.
SC50- .50 trim compressor
SC32- .54 trim compressor
SC34- .57 trim compressor
SC44- .60 trim compressor

Now, once you get into the SC60-SC54 they all use a 60 trim T04B compressor wheel. This wheel is a very very very old wheel from Garrett. Its the same exact wheel used in what we know as the 60-1 turbo. But remember its in the T04B family that has 7 blades and 14 total including sub-blades.

So as you can see they are from different familys. People get caught up in the "60 trim on the SC44 is smaller than the 60 trim on the SC60?" But in order to find the trim you need to follow this formula and I will plug in the # for a 60 trim t04E compressor wheel below.

Turbo trim = (inducer ^2/ exducer^2) x 100
The givens for a 60 trim t04e are:
Exducer= 2.950"
Exducer sqaured = 8.7025
Inducer= 2.290"
Inducer sqaured = 5.2441

So, 5.2441/ 8.7025 = .6025969 X 100 = a 60 trim turbo

Once you get the compressor down I'll go into the turbine..

Ok, here to go for a basic run down of the different familys of turbines:

T3 family:
T31
T350
T04

T4 family:
T04

The T31 is what is most widely used and is a T3. For example in the T31 family we have what many know by as stage 2 and 3. So a T31 .69 trim = stage 2 wheel, T31 .76 trim = stage 3 wheel.

Now, a T350 is an other family that is most commonly used. A T350 .76 trim is what we know as a stage 5 wheel. I will go over the formula for finding the turbine trim later in this post.

The next wheel is the T04 family of wheels. Some of these wheels can be made to fit a T3 flanged turbo or a T4. A .T04 .69 trim is larger than the T350 .76 trim, but smaller than a T04 O-trim. You have probably heard people call some turbine wheels O, P, Q trim. The reason they do this is because they are all .76 trim. But the O is the smallest and the Q being the largest of the three. They had to do this because if you had to order a T04 turbine wheel you couldnt say, "I need a .76 trim wheel." So they had to give it another name of O, P, and Q.

Alot of times people will order a turbo from me and ask for SC61 for example and want the .76 trim. Well, do they want the .76 trim in a T350, T04 0, P, or Q? In most cases people dont know the difference so I sell them the T350 .76 trim stage 5 wheel for hondas.

The formula for finding the turbine trim is the opisite of the compressor:

(exducer^2/ inducer^2) x 100. I dont have anything to reference right in front of me at the moment like I did on the compressor section. But will get some up if people want.

Hope this helps. I am always up for giving out some product info.

I love my SC61, its a TO4S housing, with a T4 76 trim, .68 housing.

I know its not a Honda, but I ran 11.01 @120 last night in my 4G63 Colt, letting off the gas for over a second according to my datalogger because of a high speed miss from a arcing plug wire.

15-16psi the whole pass and a 50 shot to spool up, but not the whole way (its an automatic trans). I did have some big boost spikes at the shifts, could that be boost creep with a 40mm Tial????

I ran a so so 1.68 60 ft, a 7.01 1/8th @104 the had to let off some because of the popping and the wideband was goin kinda crazy, so only 120 trap speed.

All in all the for its second pass I was very pleased with the time, it took 27psi from my To4e 60 trim to run those times before.

Thanks to Precision Turbo!!!

Tom

that huge midrange gain also has a ton to do with the runner length.
