Default posting d16z6 block?

is it a safe procedure to post you d16z6 block to help it withstand the 10-20 psi?

Posts don't help you withstand 10-20 psi, tuning does.

Seen a few "properly" installed posts, as per Widmer's specifications, lead to cylinder wall failure. Flat out, stock liners swell under boost, the post won't allow the liners to swell where they are screwed into it, the sleeve cracks at right angles to the post.

As far as 10-20 psi, if you have forged rods, why not? Depending on build and turbo, that places you 200-300 ish range, which the stock liners can withstand if tuned correctly. A friend was running 14 psi on stock D16Z6 for a few months, head gasket finally let go...

thanks for they reply.. im new to this so what do you mean by tuning? like taking it to the dyno and havin professionals tune it lmk thanks?

yes, tuning is when the engine management is adjusted to best support the mods that have been added to the vehichle.

what all would i need to tune this motor properly to get 250hp at least out of it?
