Go with the posting. Its 36.00 for the parts from ENDYN, and takes about an hour to do. It will support the top, and middle of the cylinders, unlike a block guard that only supports the top. I have done it abotu 5 times, and its so easy, its not even funny.

****, for 14 psi I think your sleeves will be fine. If you have aftermarket rods/pistons it should last.

What was used to seal the posts on that block?

I've lived with blockguards in my D16Y8 turbo, and B18C turbo - pushed over 1.7 bar on the D16Y8 a couple times (with my hybrid piston/rod package) and didn't have a problem

Mine were TIg welded in place,, but I am sure there is some type of aluminum epoxy that will work just fine. go to the forums on the Endyne homw page,, I thike there is a thread about it

If tuned right, you can push around 18psi safely on a daily basis.. you can go higher, but its at your own risk. I've boosted very high in the past, and the rods/pistons seemed to be able to handle the power (though its not something that I did on a regular basis)

You do know any one with a band saw can make the post. They are just bar stock aluminum thats threaded. All you do is cut it to the size you want, and cut a slot in the end so you can tighten them with a flat head screw driver. Get a couple in on the deal, and I can supply them far cheaper than anybody else,,,

Don't put slots in them. If you use a screwdriver to tighten them, you will overtighten them.

So how do you tighten them? I have never had a problem with mine, and they are the same style as the Endyn product.

So 18psi daily on a posted block, would that be the same for a D16Y8 block with let's say uh, 9:1 CP pistons, Eagle Rods, Blockguard and Hondata? Would it be a certain psi or a certain HP rating?

Yeah that's what I run now is 14-15psi, but it's with a small turbo. Just wondering if 18psi on a T3 60/.48 a/r would be pushing it too far

i've pushed well over 18psi on my stock d16y8 sleeves (only blockguard to help support them) and i had no problems at all. Blockguards get their bad name from those who don't have them installed properly, and for those who don't have the blockguard water holes lined up with the holes on the headgasket.
