Possible to make Prelude FAST?
Hey Guys,
Forgive me if I've already affended anyone. LOL. I'm trying to prove a guy on another site, wrong. He is always talking **** about Honda's. This guy pisses me off beyond belief...Here goes.
He has I believe a 97-00 Prelude VTEC. He said he was going to turbocharge this car for the longest time, and never did. He never even threw one mod on the car. Instead, he figured their was no sense turbocharging a FWD car. He gave up and bought a 300ZX TT . Dont' get me wrong. It was a wise choice considering the Z hauls *** and is capable of some nice times. I just want you turbo guru's and people who have turbocharged a lude to tell him it is possible to make it fast, with a simple bolt on kit. Is he right?

yes i believe if the H22 was built properly and everything was tuned correctly, the H22 VTEC engine would make lots of power

Quick? No
To me fast is more of from 330 to the 1320, and quick is from start to the 330

Re: (Performance-Online)
Yea, I know the Z would be faster. I just want him to know that his prelude could have been fast. I guess he thought he could never get the bitch past 14s without dumpin 20k in the bitch...

I take it u know nothing about preludes??? there's preludes in 13's with bolt-ons. On my stock internaled prelude with only 157whp and 171wtq i got a 14.4 on street tires. Just wait till i get it back and get it tuned. I Also dont know of anybody with a prelude that has spent close to 20k on Performance part that can't get past 14's . But if u do, show me...

Re: (flip1199)
Your taking this the wrong way. I know Preludes. I know Hondas. I know damn well you can make a lude fast as ****. I'm pretty much asking people to vouch that you don't have to spend bookooo bucks to make it fast. I need people to have my back. What I'm looking for is exactly what I've gotten so far. Guy up a few posts said he's spent under 1k and is running 13s...Stuff like that.

Re: (QUICKTEG)
check out the post about the nitrous prelude in Kills. I think it is 9 pages long right now. Just go to the last two pages and read about how fast the GN was, who won, and what the set out was. That'll give you an idea of what that prelud runs. His mods are ihe+spray according to that post.

Brian (firedrake) ran a 12.7 on stock motor on tiny slicks. That car definately has more in it if he ever gets it out there.
