Possible Boost leak...testing problem help
Car wasnt running as fast as it should at the track yesterday. I'm suspecting a boost leak since the only thing i've done to it since last year was a new clutch and a few tiny misc things which required taking the intercooler of. So today i built a boost leak tester...placed it on the intake side of the turbo and went to pressurize it. I heard air rushing out...however it was coming from around my AN fitting on the oil return line right off the turbo. I tried tightening the line which did nothing. Weird bc theres not oil leaks or anything.
Thoughts on how to correct this or try to override it to do the boost leak test??

are you sure its the line itself leaking? Its probably the big O-ring that seals the compressor housing to the backplate, leaking on the bottom and making it sound like air is coming from the return line.
Yes, I'm sure. When I put my hand around the fitting itself I can feel the air coming out. Its not around the backplate of the turbo.
