my friend has a turbo miata and his might have smoked a little bit out of the VC but he has some bad blow by to where its breakin the seal on the oil pan

Same thing happened to me when i blew a couple ringlandings, does the motor run differently at all, have you tried doing a leak down test or compression test yet?
When my motor went it actually blew through the autozone filter metal top and created a decent hole.

exactly why a leak down test would be in order, closing each valve(s) on each cylinder will track down where it is coming from if you think there is a bent valve, the air will either divert through the exhaust or back to the intake manifold...

this way may take longer but it works take the head off an spray some WD-40 if any of it leaks from the valves your valves are bent

I had a make your own kit online that i found a while back, just do a search for a DIY leak down tester online, you will also need an air compressor for you information
