Default plx m300 and uberdata datalogging.

ok, i have two 02 bungs welded one for my stock 02 sensor and then one for my wideband. i have the wideband hooked up and ready to go just using the power and ground. so my car is reading off the stock narrowband and then my wideband is just in the other bung and its displaying the afr just for my own information. so i have a grey and a white wire hanging loose now. these are both to plug into the ecu. everyone is saying you just take the white wire and hook it up to pin d14 and check the disable 02 heater and check theclosed loop disable but then where does the grey wire go? once i have this all hookup up ill just take off the neg battery, hookup the serial cable from my ecu, put the battery back on and then start my car. check the laptop for com ports and see what one works? from there it will automatically datalog?

now what if i want to just datalog 1 wot pull in third gear from like 2000rpm to 8200rpm? can i set it up for just this pull or will it just start as soon as i find the com ports. what im trying to say ask is if there is a start datalogging button and end datalogging button. not much is really there in version 1.70 uberdata.

also do i need to have the rom that my car is running off open in uberdata and then go to the datalogging tab? thx

you only use the narrow band wire if you aren't running a stock o2 sensor, which you are so you just don't hook it up. If you want to datalog, you hook the wideband out put from the PLX to the white wire on the ecu plug, which is D14 or so. And in your case you just have to disable closed loop. But keep your heater on, since the stock o2 sensor is still in there.

To answer the first question, you can set a minimum RPM to start datalogging, just put it at 2000 RPM and take go. Or higher is you wish, and set a minimum TPS, of like %75 percent and you should be good to go with your pulls. It will only log above 2000 rpm and %75 percent throttle.

Sometimes the ecu is dumb and doesn't put out 100% throttle, it may only go to like 90 or so. So I alwaysput in 75 so it logs anything OVER 75.
