please post your afc hack/map limiter idle setting???
I'm using the filetofit map limiter and I was just wondering what everyone else is setting their idle at? Right now I've got it at about 20%.
What do you have the WOT pot set to? I use the same circuit and pretty familiar with it. Remember, your WOT pot determines how much more or less voltage you add via the idle pot at idle.
I use this setting [1- (1.95/2.9)] x 100 = 32.7%. So i have the WOT pot set to for at 1.95volts which is a -32.7% correction. Now turning the idle pot completely clockwise till it clicks will zero out idle correction. This is what I run.
So with the idle pot turn all the way clock wise, I am running a -32.7% across the board. Turning the idle pot counterclockwise adds more volts to the idle.
Is your car having a hard time idling? Or Is something not feeling right?

I've got my WOT pot set to 1.625. This is because, I'm at a high altitude and my map sensor reads 2.5 volts, instead of 2.9. So at WOT I've got a -35% correction.
When I had the idle pot turned clockwise til it clicked, I had a terrible time idling. My car would stall whenever I would press and hold the the clutch in while driving.
So I turned the idle pot counterclockwise until I got an idle reading of about .80. It's better, but it's still not right. It won't die when I press and hold the clutch. But it will get really really close to it. The rpms will drop to about 100-200 rpms. The car gives a little sputter like it's going to die and then the rpms picks up again. But it's still not idling right.
I'm also getting cel codes 71-74, which are misfires. I think I'm getting those because during low acceleration and idle I'm dumping too much fuel and running way way too rich, which is causing the spark plugs to foul up.
The other thing that's weird is when I quickly blimp the gas during a stop, the rpms will surge and drop a few hundred rpms, then pick up again. I think all of these problems have to do with my 450cc's idling bad.
So I was trying to figure out what other people are setting their idle's at. So I can try setting mine to something that's working for someone else.

Hmm what plugs are you using and what is your gap on them set at? Also what is your static fuel presssure set at.
With filetofit circuit, adjustments have to be made with the key on, engine off. The engine has to be at normal operating temps as well. I am sure you knew that though

I'm using the bkr7e plugs, gapped to .032. I don't know what my fuel pressure is at...it's all stock, I haven't touch it.
Yes, I tuned the wot on the circuit, key on engine off....and tuned the idle with the engine on.
But it's hard to tune the idle because it idle's fine...except when I'm driving and hold the clutch in, then the idle get's really really low and almost kills the car.
