Please Critique my Plugs.. 84mm sleeved gsr, built of course..

Default Please Critique my Plugs.. 84mm sleeved gsr, built of course..

I just pulled my plugs after about 1500 miles on my new rebuild.. tis already tuned and everything.. my gas milage could be a bit better, but that's city driving.. i wont know what i get on the hwy till next week when i do a long distance trip...

here ya go... Let me know what 's goin on in my motor.... they've been gapped to about .030

they look alright to me.
Not much buildup of carbon, so fuelling looks good, and the heat colorization on the ground strap looks to be safe.

Hard to tell from the picture; is the residue tan or white?

How was the car tuned? What was A/F set at?

look like ur runnin alil lean to me.

but as said, its kinda hard to tell from pics like this.

Pics are not the best but they look pretty good, I think the white discoloration is normal cuz I get it too but I'm still running N/A stock block B18c.

yeah actually the whiteness that was making me think they were kinda lean, I think just comes from the over exposed photos.

yeah, it was a conservative tune.. plus, most of the miles were done on normal driving.. NOT much hard driving..

..

funny.. my tuner did that exact same thing when we tuned my car.. what's the meaning behind it? i've got a clue, but not too sure why..

here's a pic of my plugs after doing some runs on the street i just took 2night..

The colorations of the tip were grey in color..

I'm also noticing that there's alot of black carbon buildup on the plugs as well.. is this normal to have this much build up?

He's looking for signs of detonation.
It's tiny (or large) specs of aluminum that embed themselves in the plug. That's a good sign of something not being right.
