Default planning a build - please help me sort this out..

ok.. from the beginning..

picked up a 90 civic DX 4dr with D15B2 (275K miles) for $500.

research, decide to swap.. more research, decide to do rebuild.. more research, decide to pick up another D15B2 block and start there, while i drive what i've got until it completely dies..

after looking at, weighing, comparing, and digging deep into my options, here's what i've decided i want to do:

get D15b2 block, start a complete build, from the block up, picking internals that will be able to handle an eventual 8 (daily) to 15/18 (track) psi boost..

things were going great, i've been spending countless hours going through search after search, making notes, jotting down the next thing to search on and learn about..

then i hit the uberdata/obd0->obd1/ECU garb.. now i have a headache trying to sort out what exactly i'm going to want/need.

a couple quick answers could get me back on track if someone (or a few different opinions) could help me out..

i'm not going vtec, i 'may' go MPFI (haven't decided on that one yet..), and i'm building the engine specifically for 8 / 18 psi boost.

question: what ECU will i need ? (that's what's confusing the hell out of me now)
i'm deffinatly going to want to chip it, so i know i need an obd1, but some are for vtec, some aren't, some are for b-series, blah blah..

d15, dpfi, boost = what ecu ?
d15, mpfi, boost = what ecu ?

(hopefully they're the same.. heh)

i'm a newbie, sure. a TOTAL newbie. but i'm a really fast learner, and love working on cars. (this is just my first honda)

from doing searches and reading through the build-ups on here, i've pretty much got most of the mechanical figured out.. then i hit the ECU thing and i'm stuck with the above question.

thanks in advance..

and hopefully here soon i'll be started on this, and be able to put together my own build up
