Yes that's real safe and will protect your pistons from seizing during expansion.

I am running 5 thousands PWC, Manley pistons, GE Sleeves. Its quiet on cold start up, I was expecting some noise.

It will also wear out faster than 35. The actual number depends on your bore size and the type of aluminum the pistons are made out of. Every piston manufacturer has guidelines and can tell you what a good PTW is for your application.

CP pistons. they call for .003 PTW. Im @ .0045. This bore is fresh from the machine shop. Im a little bit upset about this. Stock sleeves. Power goals are roughly 400ish w/ 10.5:1.

Most CP's I've seen call for .0035, but regardless .0045 isn't too huge, especially for a stock sleeve motor with 10.5:1 compression.

im going .0035 with my cp's at about 450hp.

.0045 is a lil big but its not going to make your motor blow up or anything. side effects will likely be a lil slap till it warms up and it wil wear the hone a lil faster due to more contact with the cyl walls. so maybe instead of 60k miles you'll get 55k miles out of it...

just think about all the people out there with vitara builds that have like .006 ptw and are making good power and going fast at the track

good call and surely noted. I think im gonna go with it instead of bitching about it to the machine shop. I figured when they measured the skirts to make sure they were dead nuts at 3.206 and CP called for a bore of 3.209 they would have done it.... who knew?
