Piston Suggestions? Bore?
I am building a Z6 right now, and I am going to use an A6 crank that is in it right now, and get it balanced and micropolished. I also think that I am going to use ARP headstuds, and ACL bearings. I am going to go with Eagle H-beam rods, and I was just wondering suggestions for pistons...srp, je, cp? I want N/A motor, but maybe somewhre down the line F/I, so I don't know, I am thinking je or srp pistons? And also would anybody reccommend boring? If so how much, I'm open to all opinions, I appreciate the help in advance.

to begin with, step one in deciding f/i or n/a. either engine has to be carefully designed for its specific function.
boring is essential to start with a round hole, because you are putting in round pistons. used pistons and cylinders become oval shaped over time.
lets say you go n/a. over bore .5 mm, and use 11.5 : 1 c/r cp pistons.
now if you go f/i and wish to keep stock sleeves (which is not recommended but will work), over bore .25mm, and use 9 : 1 c/r cp pistons.
also very important on either engine is cam choice. n/a i would recommend a ~comp 52300, and a stock cam is usually sufficient for f/i.

The closest thing was a Z6 on an ENGINE dyno made 180HP (crank) with a 78mm bore, stock compression, and all types of Endyn fiddlings internally. That was all before the boost was added

Blame it on Bauley, he moved this post to F/I from 92-00 Civic, I don't like to post in all motor or tech/misc, cause nobody replys.
