The Vitara setups i've heard all kinda sound like **** when cold. They almost sound like a diesel until it warms up and the pistons fit the cylinder. Even my Arias pistons tend to slap around a little when cold. I'm not sure if you have an issue on your hand or not...someone else must know

I've had vitara's in one of my old SOHC's they were decently noisy but your setup sounds like somethings knocking more than slapping. i'm not really sure either about what to say on this. how long have you been driving the car?

But in that video the car was running for a while, it wasn't cold.

well if you been driving it like this. and you have good oil pressure. and nothing has gone wrong. then let it alone. just a noisy motor i assume.

Do you know what the ptw clearances are??? If not, i would call the shop and ask. Vitara's are still cast pistons so they wont require larger ptw clearances like forged pistons do.

Does the car start up easily or does it take 5 cranks or more to start up? It sounds like a mix of valves contacting the pistons a bit and valve lash being set completely wrong, the ticking is somewhat normal, obviously the knock is not. Another words, have you check valve lash and timing?
